But I continued on, pouring over the literature and the interviews I had accumulated. And gradually, I started to feel better -- first with improved sleep and seeing my energy come back.
I also noticed less brain fog and fatigue in the afternoons -- the “dip” after lunch, which forced me to crash out on the couch was replaced with more mental clarity and focus on my studies.
And along the way, I figured a few things out...
Turns out there’s not just one magic cleanse you need; it’s multiple different cleanses, targeting different systems of the body, done at different times throughout the year.
Many people do a basic colon cleanse or a juice cleanse once a year and we think that’s enough.
But what I learned is that if you're not specifically addressing your blood and your liver and your kidneys and your thyroid and adrenals and lymphatic system too… you’re not getting a full detox.
And don’t forget your skin, your largest organ. We slather it with lotion and topical creams full of chemicals you probably can’t even pronounce.
When was the last time you detoxed your skin?
Do you even know how to detox your skin?
It boils down to the depth and quality of the cleansing you're doing -- how well are you truly detoxing?
And who do you talk to if you have a question? Probably not your doctor, sad to say.
